T1 Project Room项目由艺术家王海川与Organhaus共同发起,项目依托王海川自2009年开始的社区艺术项目“铜元局艺术计划”,项目实施期间艺术家与社区居民所建立起的良好互动关系,是本计划具体实施的基础。作为一个社会介入项目,“铜元局艺术计划”一直尝试在艺术实践与社区互动之间寻找合适的交点,在之前的工作中,艺术家就构成社区的集体主义工厂社区生活,以及集体主义建筑与生活方式,重庆正在进行的激烈的城市化现状与社区的后集体主义生活之间的讨论,是其工作的重点。社会学的工作方法(田野调查),行为互动作品,观念艺术,都是重点的工作形式。2013年12月发起的T1 Project Room,具体而言,是我们在铜元局社区现场,借用了两处废弃的房间,每处2套,每套约16.9平方米,分别作为我们在社区现场的“临时性替代空间”和“艺术家工作室”。并以此为基础展开系列的在地艺术工作实践。T1 Project Room的实施,一个重要工作在于通过把艺术实践带入到具体的社会现场来试图探寻和思考艺术生产的非艺术体制化之后的可能性-远离白盒子的艺术生产,这也是我们对于当前过度商业化的中国当代艺术的一种反思性行动;另一个重要的原因,在中国这样一个集权化国家里,当泛政治化的艺术正大面积流行并被商业所渗透吸收时,一个可以轻易获得的表态,已经严重的影响到我们对于艺术与社会文化重建的判断和信心,在此阶段,与艺术家一起发起T1 Project Room,也就是试图通过把艺术实践深入到具体社区的内部,同时强调艺术实践的实验性,从细小的微观政治建设入手,以实验性艺术实践所连结起的可能存在的社会观念变革,来具体展开我们的工作。也因此,建立在长期性时间基础上的具体实践、跨领域跨学科合作,都将是重要的工作内容。在工作类型上,具体包括 “主题论坛/艺术家在地工作/建筑&城市规划研究/主题工作坊/在地艺术教育项目/”等。
T1 Project Room :
T1 Project, initiated by Organhaus and artist Wang Haichuan, is based on the “ Tong Yuanju Art Program”, a community art project of Wang’s from 2009. The relationship between him and residents are well developed when the program was carrying out, which becomes a fundamental part of the project.
As a social intervention program, “Tong Yuanju” are constantly trying to find the intersection of art practice and community interaction. In previous works, artist starts a series of discussion about Collectivism factory-ish architecure and living style, community people, agreesive urbanization in Chongqing and Post- Collectivisim living contidion. As the major part of his work, he use sociology method (field research), performance, conceptual art as the approach.
Launched In December 2013, T1 Project Room, specifically, is based on two-discarded room we borrowed in Tong Yuanju (separated 2 units, each 16.9 square meters, 33 square meters in total), and make it as the “temporarily substitute room” and artist studios, meanwhile initiate some local art practices.
The project and its implement is, on the on hand, aiming at bringing the art practice into the social scene, in order to find and think about the possibility of out-of-system art production: away from white cube, and also, this could be the introspective action of over commercialize chinese comtemporary art. On the othe hand, in a centralization country like China, when pan-political art are widespreadly popular and absorbed by market, Easy political statements are affecting our judgement and confidence about reconstruction of art and culture. In this phase, we initiat T1 as a mean to make this practice into the community inside, in the meantime emphasize the experimental side of art. We start from the mirco political construction, connect the experimental art practice and potential revolution of social notions, also carry out interdescipiline colaboration and long-term practices. It includes theme forum, artist work in local, architecure and urban planning, workshop, local art education etc.
